It’s not over-the-top enough. The average Linux user would be more apt to detect that this is satire that way, since it’s only as ridiculous as the actual FUD spread by Microsoft, as most of these articles are word-for-word copies or what look like the kind of editorials a backwards, 17 year old Windows user who couldn’t figure out how to install Linux would write. Only some superfluous humor offers a vague clue that it might not be real.

Most Linux users are overtly aware of how retarded Windows users can be. This web site is definitely something one can imagine a delusional Windows fan might come up with (even with touches of hyperbolic and utterly retarded humor).

So no, don’t blame the people who are fooled. It’s too easy to assume this is real after reading only one page knowing just how uneducated the general public can be and that, by and large, the general public uses Windows.

Or that they care. They care for not being ripped off by a multi-billion dollars company that failed them in the past. They care about what they do when they code that Linux. They care about the knowledge they acquired during sleepless nights. And they care about configuration, stability, security and ease of use.

I for one stopped caring about what others say. And when my Ubuntu laptop is laughed at by some smart-ass Vista user I don’t need to care… ’cause he’ll be green with envy when I’ll demo what pathetic hardware can do with good software.

@ Admin: Not quite as good as Shelleytherepublican, perhaps I laugh harder at the absurd ideas posted there more than the “grain-of-truth” ideas which linux-distros need to work on. Good stuff though – almost as good as linuxhaters.com.

@ 90% of the comments: This type of site really does attract idiots. Or 11-year olds. Um, except me, of course.

Funniest part is that it is actually all true. I have witnessed Linux Nerds eating their young. The only reason no one bothers to hack Linux is because no one uses it who has as much as one slim dime in their pocket. What would be the sense of getting at their private data? Get their Mom’s recipes or something?

I also have footage of Linux Nerds at Cult meeting (cleverly disguised as “User Groups”). I seen about 30 or so go in. When the cannibalistic feast was over, only about 25 came out.

Best comment was the one about “Linux is only free if your time is worthless”. This is the truest GDFn thing in the whole long mindless diatribe. Man, let’s load a bunch of Linux shit on our servers and turn them into crap. Once we get all that custom shit in there and we finally get some crazy ass application running, (which we are now responsible for updating and supporting because the developer got thrown out of his Mom’s basement and had to get a real job) now we have to explain to our boss that there is absolutely NO upgrade path to anything. This last part is best done when you are handing in your two weeks notice.

Oh well, it was good to see a site that actually printed the ugly truth about this Piece of Crap Operating System Wana Be called Linux.
